My picture of the struggle in farmer mental health is:
Struggling with the isolation of living so far away from any township and not being able to make connections with a local community. Working insane hours in often adverse weather and dealing with the toll the work takes on your body but not getting to see the benefits of your work at the end of the day, because there aren't exactly customers to impress with your produce.
Some of the glimmer/joyful moments that reflect farmer mental health for me:
Satisfaction in knowing you have unique capabilities like driving and working on machinery. Gaining connections with the land and the animals you work with. Like getting to watch the sunrise during an early start or when the animals become friendly with you.
